I started this site as a place to consolidate all my thoughts instead of leaving them written on napkins and receipts or on the back of boarding passes.
I love to travel. As a girl from a very small town in a very forgotten midwestern state I've always been fascinated by the world outside the forests, farms, and dirt roads I grew up on. Most people I know were born, live, and will die within the same 50 mile space. While there's a lot to be said for home, especially a home as beautiful as mine, life is far too short to spend all your time in one place. My love of faraway places lead me to study archaeology and anthropology in university and that training has been invaluable in my traveling life. I now spend half my time traveling and half my time devouring information on travel and culture. Eventually I'll settle down but probably not any time soon.
